Ms. Jennifer Brownyard
President Ms. Jennifer Brownyard has been a Board of Education member for the past four years and is currently serving her first term as President. Jennifer moved to ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ in 2005 with her husband, Sean. They have a twin son and daughter who are enrolled in ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ High School, graduating class of 2025. Originally from Lake Ronkonkoma, she graduated high school from Sachem North and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science from SUNY Geneseo in 1993. After graduating from college, Jennifer went on to pursue a career in Sales and Marketing. She worked in the advertising sales departments for various publications in Manhattan, mostly focused on the direct marketing arena. After moving back to Long Island and having her children, she joined her family’s insurance company to run the marketing and client services department. Over her 11-year tenure there, she has expanded her role to include the management of the database system that is used company-wide, across all departments. Inspired by the spirit of community which makes ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ the special hamlet that it is today, Jennifer has devoted much of her spare time to volunteering in various youth-focused groups. She has been on the cabinet of the PFA at both South Country and ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Middle School. She is an avid supporter of cultural arts, working through the Great South Bay YMCA/Boulton Center and was most recently holding the position of President of the Music Sponsors of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ. She is involved with various community outreach programs through the Youth Ministry at St. Patrick’s Church. Through her work with these organizations as well as volunteering with the Suffolk County Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, she has helped fundraise to support the children, the schools and the community. |

Mr. Louis R. Bettinelli
Vice President Mr. Bettinelli is currently serving his sixth term as Vice President running through June 30, 2024. He has served one prior term as Board Vice President. A lifelong resident of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ and a 1973 graduate from ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ High School, Mr. Bettinelli graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation, a United States Coast Guard license as Third Officer, and a commission as an Officer in the United States Naval Reserve. Presently, Mr. Bettinelli pilots ships in New York Harbor, Delaware Bay and River, and St. Croix, USVI. Lou is a member of the Maritime Association of the Port of New York/New Jersey, having served on their Board of Directors for twelve years. Lou is married to Donna (Gaine) Bettinelli for over 39 years, Donna is also a lifelong resident and graduate of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ High School and is presently Director of Science for ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ. Lou and Donna have two adult children that graduated from ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ. Bill went on to graduate from Tufts and Lauren graduated from Harvard. |

Mr. Andrew A. Arcuri
Board Trustee He is a life- long member of the community and graduated from ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ High School in 1977. Andrew is a married father of four adult children, three (3) of whom have graduated college and one who is currently attending the State University of New York at Oneonta. A graduate of the State University system (SUNY Stony Brook, 1981), Mr. Arcuri went on to achieve his Juris Doctorate from the Pace University School of Law. Shortly thereafter he obtained his license to practice law in both New York and New Jersey. Mr. Arcuri is a partner in the general practice Deer Park law firm of Kelly, Luglio & Arcuri, LLP, where he spends most of his time as a trial lawyer in the various State and Federal Courts of New York. Andrew is very proud that the very adversaries he litigates against in Court have unanimously voted him as having the highest possible legal ability while simultaneously embodying the utmost ethics; resulting in Martindale- Hubbell rating him as having a perfect 5 out of 5 (AV Preeminent) rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards for 17 consecutive years. He was recently voted by Pulse Magazine as one of the “Top Rated Legal Eagles in Nassau & Suffolk Counties”. As a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, he provided free legal services to families of those seeking compensation from the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. Mr. Arcuri personifies the belief that we should all share our gifts of time and experience for the good of others. Coach Andy has enjoyed volunteering countless hours as a soccer, baseball, and CYO basketball coach with the youth of our community. His hobbies include distance running (where he has successfully completed over 50 marathons while raising nearly $100,000.00 for pediatric cancer research and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society), carpentry, and golf.

Mrs. Susan Gargan
Board Trustee Susan Gargan grew up in ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ and attended Mary G. Clarkson, Gardiner Manor, the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ Junior High School and graduated the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ High School in 1986. She went on to attend SUNY Geneseo for two years and completed her degree in Special Education and Elementary Education at St. Joseph’s College. Susan received her Master’s Degree from Stony Brook University. In addition, she holds two permanent Educational Administrative certifications. Susan and her husband Danny, have two daughters, Riley and Lily. Riley is entering eleventh grade and Lily is entering ninth grade at the High School. Susan has volunteered for the district's Building Goals and Technology committees and actively supports our district’s Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA). Susan’s love for education started when she was in high school. She would walk to and volunteer in classrooms at Fifth Avenue School where her mother worked as a classroom paraprofessional. During her junior and senior years in college, she completed her fieldwork at Mary G. Clarkson and Fifth Avenue School. In 1991, Susan was hired by Eastern Suffolk BOCES and is currently in her 28th year with them. She was a Special Education Teacher for ten years and is now in her 18th year as a building administrator. Susan is currently serving her fourth term as a Board Trustee and continuing to work with the community to maintain and enhance the wonderful programs offered in the ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ.

Mr. Guy Leggio
Board Trustee Mr. Leggio is a third generation Leggio residing in ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ and a 1981 graduate of ÃÛèÖÊÓÆµ High School. He has worked in professional masonry for the past 35 years and is a member of the Local One Bricklayer’s Union. He is a United States Navy veteran who was a member of the multi-national peacekeeping force in Beirut, Lebanon (1983-84).
